Number of COVID-19 cases cross 44 million worldwide: WHO

According to WHO data, the number of infected cases has crossed 44 million worldwide.  France and Germany have ordered sweeping restrictions on social life to contain a surge in coronavirus infections.

Kashgar in China’s Xinjiang province has been put under restrictions as 183 new coronavirus cases surface in the city so far.
