War against drugs:over 10 quintals poppy husk seized, 3 held in Kurukshetra

Chandigarh, Oct 30 (UNI) In one of the biggest crackdown on drug-peddlers, Haryana Police on Friday seized 10 quintal 38 kg poppy husk (chura/doda post) and 34 kg of ganja patti during a raid at a house in Kurukshetra district.
Three people were also arrested.

Giving this information here Friday , a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the seizure is part of our continuing crackdown against drug mafia.
He said after getting a secret information from an informer about huge cache of narcotics in a house near Golden Saras Hotel on GT Road, a police party alongwith DSP and Naib Tehsildar raided the location.
A search of the premises led to the seizure of a whopping 10.38 quintals of poppy husk and 34 kg ganja patti.
Arrested accused were identified as Roshan of village Dhantori, Firoz Khan of Yamunanagar and Sandeep of Shahbad.
All three accused were booked under the provisions of NDPS Act. Their remand would be sought by producing them in the court so that names of others involved in this racket could be unearthed.
