
Chandigarh: A theft took place at a house in Ram Darbar. The thieves fled with valuables. The complainant, Intzaar Ahmad of Ram Darbar, Phase II, stated that someone stole Rs28,500, a gold chain and a mobile phone from his house on the intervening night of October 18 and 19. Sec 33 resident duped of Rs22K
Chandigarh: A resident of Sector 33 has been duped of Rs22,500 in an online fraud. In his complaint to the police, Jazbeez Singh stated that the amount was fraudulently transferred from his bank account. Someone made three fraudulent transactions and Rs7,500 each was debited from his account on June 9, 15 and 21 this year. A case under Sections 420 and 120-B of the IPC has been registered at the Sector 34 police station. TNS
Pharma fest at UNIVERSITY
Chandigarh: Placebo Club and faculty of pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), organised a pharma fest with ‘educate before you medicate’ as the theme .The objective of the event was to highlight the role of a pharmacist, give a platform to students for interacting with each other and exchanging their views regarding the recent developments in the field of pharmacy. Chandigarh: Panjab University has decided to extend the last date for filing of forms/registration for BEd (General), BEd (Yoga) and BEd (Intellectual Disability) in city colleges. The last date for uploading the information on the website and generating a login/password has been extended to November 6, while the last date for depositing the fee has been extended to November 10.
