Man killed in Carlton street fight, police appeal for witnesses

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man in Carlton on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to Victoria Street about 6.15pm after reports of a fight involving several males.

The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hsopital where he later died.

Police said all of the people involved in the incident had fled the scene by the time officers had arrived.

A crime scene has been established.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have been driving in the area at the time and has dash-cam footage to come forward.
