Srinagar, Oct 30 (UNI) The Eid-Mild-un-Nabi, birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, was on Friday celebrated throughout the Kashmir valley with religious fervour and gaiety, though night-long special prayers could not be organised due to COVID-19 guidelines issued by the administration.
The worshippers thronged the shrines for morning and mid-day prayers.
Despite chilly winds, people joined the 'Fajr' (morning) prayers at Asaar-e-Sharief Hazratbal on the bank of famed Dal Lake, where they had the 'Deedar' (glimpse) of Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad.
Thousands of devotees, including women and children, joined the Friday prayers at Hazratbal and other shrines, including Jehab Sahib Soura, Shahree Kailahpora and Pinjoora.
The devotees will have the glimpse of Holy Relic after every prayers throughout the day. No night congregations were organised at either Hazratbal or other major shrines and Mosques in the valley, including Srinagar.
However in some Mosques, night prayers were offered in Srinagar and other places.
