Prayagraj: Vigilance week being observed at North Central Railways

PRAYAGRAJ: Various events are being organised at North Central Railways (NCR) to mark the Vigilance awareness week since Tuesday.
All government departments including Central Vigilance Commission observe the Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2, 2020. This is observed every year during the week in which the birthday of first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Independent India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (October 31) falls.
Vigilance awareness week commenced with Integrity pledge administered to railway officials of North Central Railway (NCR) and Northern Railway by General Manager Rajiv Chaudhry. In this pledge taking ceremony, organised through video conferencing, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), NCR, Navin Kumar Sinha, other principal heads of departments, DRMs from divisions and other officials from NR and NCR participated.
Similar pledge taking ceremonies were also organized in Agra, Allahabad, Jhansi divisions and other units in jurisdiction of NCR. Further a hyperlink to CVC’s website www.cvc.gov.in has also been provided on NCR’s website and employees are being encouraged to take e-pledge by sending SMS with this information to all employees of NCR. Vigilance department officials have designed specific awareness messages for each day of campaign which will be sent to all employees through bulk messaging service, informed NCR CPRO Ajeet Kumar Singh.
Use of NCR website for dissemination of systemic improvement measures, announcement/ display of vigilance related matters, publicity using all media platforms etc are also being done for creating awareness on vigilance matters during the week long campaign. Officials from vigilance department shall also be conducting vigilance seminar in HQ office, three divisions and workshops of NCR. During these seminars talk, presentations, case studies etc. shall be presented and discussed for sensitizing railway officials, he added.
