Marathwada records 571 new nCoV cases

Aurangabad, Oct 29 (UNI) Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 571 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in all of its eight districts combined, authorities said on Thursday.

The region also witnessed 11 more corona-related deaths during the same period.

Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region, Latur was the worst affected with 66 fresh cases and 4 fatalities, followed by Aurangabad with 119 new cases and 3 deaths, Beed 89 cases and 2 deaths, Osmanabad 77 cases and 1 death, Parbhan with 41 cases with one death, Nanded 94 new cases, Jalna 79 cases and Hingoli 6 cases.

Meanwhile, 6,738 more corona cases and 91 deaths were reported across the state during the same period.

With this, the state's case tally mounted to 16.60 lakh.

While 8,430 cured patients were discharged taking the total up to 14.86 lakh and 43,554 have so far succumbed to the disease.

While at present, 1.29 lakh patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centres.
