Yesterday, a purported statement had been surfacing the social media stating that Superstar Rajinikanth may not take a plunge into politics, considering his health conditions. The statement also said that his doctors have advised him not to involve himself in politics, considering the pandemic situation, given which it might take a toll on him, if he involves himself into politics which definitely requires people interaction. The letter also revealed that Rajinikanth had undergone a kidney transplant surgery in 2016. Considering the comorbids, the letter said the doctors' team had advised the actor that he was more prone to corona infection.
The letter further read "I do not fear for my life. I am more concerned about people’s welfare. If I had to ensure the political change I had promised, I have to definitely plunge actively into the politics. And while doing so, in the midway through if my health deteriorates, it could pose fresh challenges to the party. So I may not get involved in politics for the time being".
Even while the sources close to Superstar had rubbished the letter as rumour, the actor took to social media and clarified the same. Though his official statement was on the lines of the 'fake' letter, Rajini had said he will decide on his stand on politics after discussion with the office bearers of 'Rajini Makkal Mandram'.
The statement read "I would like to clarify that the purported letter surfacing in the social media wasn't issued by me or on my behalf. Yet, the details on my health conditions and the doctor's advice are true. I will reveal my stand in politics after discussing the same with the members of 'Rajini Makkal Mandram'."
