NAVI MUMBAI: Four Covid care centres (CCCs) in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) areas have been temporarily shut after a sharp decline in Covid cases reported daily in Navi Mumbai.
The facilities were created in the city for treatment of asymptomatic patients and those with mild symptoms.
Meanwhile, activists and corporators have suggested that a few quarantine units and Covid care centres in Thane city be shut down following a notable drop in positive cases, including the critical ones reported over the past few days. Thane civic officials said that the units have been developed or earmarked considering a sudden spurt in cases. “We want to remain prepared in case of any eventuality,” said a civic official.
