Itanagar, Oct 28 (UNI) As many as 81 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, taking the state’s caseload to 14,472, while the fatalities toll rose to 36 following the death of a 61-year-old man.
Of the fresh cases of infections, 18 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), 13 from East Siang, 12 from West Siang, five each from Lower Subansiri and Namsai, four each from Longding and Changlang, three each from upper Subansiri, Tirap and Lower Dibang Valley (LDV), two each from Lohit, Dibang Valley, Tawang and Upper Siang, one each from Papum Pare, West Kameng and Pakke Kessang, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).
Barring 34, all the cases are asymptomatic.
According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, a 61-year-old prisoner from District Jail, Jully, here expired at 1410 hours on Tuesday at DCH-Chimpu.
“Suspected case of Cerebro-vascular accident with Covid-19 infection. The patient died due to septic shock. He was admitted to DCH, Chimpu on October 19. The body was disposed off as per the Covvid-19 protocol,” it said.
On the other hand, 115 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 12,297. Active cases stand at 2139.
