'Those who looted Jharkhand in previous government will go to jail': Hemant Soren

Bokaro, Oct 28 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday said
that all those leaders who had looted the state in the previous government will go to
jail.
Addressing an election rally in Dugdha while campaigning for Congress nominee
Anup Singh for the Bermo bypolls, he said, the previous government has destroyed
Jharkhand and the central government is busy selling the institutions of the country.
He said in the bypolls of Bermo and Dumka the candidates of Mahagathbandhan
will emerge victorious while in Bihar assembly polls also NDA would be defeated.
Attacking the centre he said that by suddenly imposing the lockdown the Prime
Minister left the workers and women to die on roads.
He said that countless poor lost their lives in the lockdown and the centre is future
would have to bear its consequences.
Mr Soren said that the centre even tried to sell the resources of the state which
was opposed by the state government and now other states are also doing the
same.
He said that the centre was trying to even sell away the DVC which would not be
tolerated.
The chief minister said that inflation and price rise are on an all time high in the
country and vegetables have gone missing from the plates of the people.
He said that BJP wants to remain in power by dividing the people in the name of
Hindus and Muslims and on the basis of caste and creed while no attention is being
given towards the problems of unemployment and poverty and inflation.
Mr Soren said the BJP and their leaders had promised to solve these problems
but people have been left cheated.

Nagaland Health director expresses concern on surge of COVID-19

Kohima, Oct 28 (UNI) Nagaland Principal Director of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Vizolie
Suokhrie today expressed concern over the surge of COVID-19 cases in the State particularly
in Kohima and Dimapur and said that the number of positive cases was stable till August,
however, towards the end of September and beginning of October, there has been a spike in
the number of positive cases and in the number of symptomatic cases.
