Nick Stace has been appointed as the CEO of Saga Travels and will be overlooking Saga’s Cruise and Tours businesses as a part of his new role. Stace has been serving as Saga’s Chief Strategy Officer and will take up the new role with immediate effect. He will also retain his responsibility for strategy.
Stace has been leading Saga’s work with government and all other relevant authorities to ensure provision of the very best safety operating protocols for a post COVID-19 world. Prior to taking up his new role, Stace held a series of senior leadership roles across charities, consumer-facing organizations and financial services as well as in regulation.
He joined Saga from The Prince’s Trust where he served as the CEO. He has also been the CEO of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and CEO of Choice, Australia’s largest consumer campaigner and publisher. Euan Sutherland, Saga Group Chief Executive Officer said in a statement that the company is delighted that Nick will be heading its travel business after successfully driving the strategic reset. He shared that Stace brings a wealth of experience that will be invaluable for the next phase of development of Saga’s travel business.
Stace added while speaking about his responsibility that his number one priority in the new role will be to ensure that the company’s travel businesses are ready to provide exceptional experiences to customers when the restrictions are lifted. He shred that the team is aware that demand is there, because customers are enthusiastically re-booking in both Cruise and Tours and the company have also worked to ensure it has a detailed, industry-leading procedures ready for a COVID-hit world.
