Ginsuanhau takes oath as MLA

Imphal, Oct 28 (UNI) Ginsuanhau of BJP was today was sworn in as
MLA of Singhat.
Speaker Y Khemchand Singh administered the oath of
office and secrecy to the newly elected member of Manipur Legislative
Assembly at the office chamber of the Speaker.
Ministers Awangbaw Newmai, S.Rajen Singh, O Henry Singh and Khashim Vashum MLA also
attended the swearing ceremony.
Ginauanhau had won the 2012 and 1017 elections as a member of Indian
National Congress but he joined the BJP following which he was
disqualified.
He had won the bypoll uncontested.
For the other four seats where bypoll will be held on Nov 7, in Wangoi former Congress
MLA, Oinam Lukhoi Singh now a BJP Candidate will fight against Salam
Joy Singh of Indian National Congress and Khuraijam Loken Singh of
National People's Party (NPP).
Lilong has three candidates: Md Azizul Haque Khan of Indian
National Congress (INC) will fight against former Congress MLA, Mohd
Abdul Nasir, Y. Antas Khan .
Former Congress MLA and now BJP
candidate Ngamthang Haokip will fight against Lamtinthang Haokip of
Indian National Congress (INC) in Saitu.
In Wangjing Tentha, Moirangthem Hemanta Singh of Indian National
Congress (INC) will contest against S. Manaobi, Independent and former
Congress MLA Paonam Brojen Singh now a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
candidate.
