Besix Watpac has shared Rheinmetall’s remarkable video showcasing the new Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence facility delivered by BESIX Watpac for the Queensland Government, now in operation. The first of its kind in South East Queensland, the 11 hectare facility plays a crucial role in boosting Australia’s national defence capability. Forming part of the LAND 400 Phase 2 project, the MILVEHCOE enables Rheinmetall Defence Australia to produce and maintain many of the 211 Boxer 8x8 Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles for the Australian Army.
More than a production facility, highly specialised and unique elements include an outdoor vehicle test track, electromagnetic compatibility chamber, and a fully enclosed weapons test firing range.
