Malta Producer Prices Drop In September

Malta's producer prices fell for the first time in three months in September, data from the National Statistics Office showed on Wednesday.

The producer price index fell 0.99 percent year-on-year in September, after a 0.46 percent decrease in August.

Prices for intermediate goods declined 3.06 percent annually in September.

Meanwhile, prices for capital goods and consumer goods rose by 0.36 percent and 0.82 percent, respectively.

Domestic market prices increased 1.6 percent, and non-domestic market prices fell 2.61 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.56 percent in September, following a 1.0 percent decrease in the prior month.
