While benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty performed in red, the two-wheeler giant,
Hero Motocorp escaped the impact of bears which took control on Wednesday. The company's stock was among the top gainers on exchanges, also lifting the auto sectoral indices.
At around 2.27 pm, Hero MotoCorp was performing at Rs2973.25 per piece up Rs63.30 or 2.17% on Sensex. The stock has touched the day's high of Rs3034.50 per piece.
The company is set to announce its financial performance for the quarter ending September 2020 (Q2FY21) later today.
On Tuesday, Hero Motocorp entered into an agreement with Harley-Davidson, Inc.
As per the agreement, Hero MotoCorp will sell and service Harley-Davidson motorcycles and sell Parts & Accessories and General Merchandise riding gear and apparel through a network of brand-exclusive Harley-Davidson dealers and Hero’s existing dealership network in India.
Also, as part of a Licensing agreement, Hero MotoCorp will develop and sell a range of premium motorcycles under the Harley-Davidson brand name.
Hero Motocorp in its regulatory filing said, this arrangement is mutually beneficial for both companies and riders in India, as it brings together the iconic Harley-Davidson brand with the strong distribution network and customer service of Hero MotoCorp.
