Mumbai: India’s top software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said on Wednesday it has been selected as a strategic partner for managed IT services by Belgian insurer AG to help enhance the latter’s digital channels and modernize its IT systems.
The company did not disclose the financial details of the deal.
“The insurer has partnered with TCS to transform its technology stack and adapt to the changing expectations of its diverse range of customers,” the IT major said in a release.
AG will leverage TCS’ technology expertise and extensive experience in the insurance domain to modernize its application stack and enhance current core insurance services and digital channels, it added.
"After an initial positive experience with the successful delivery of projects, TCS is well-positioned to become a strong long-term partner for day to day IT operations as well as IT transformation projects. We expect to leverage on TCS’s global Innovation ecosystem and experience to increase efficiency and build differentiating experiences in the market we operate,” Philippe Van Belle, Business Operating Officer, AG, said.
At 12:14 pm, TCS shares were down 0,13 per cent at Rs 2,628, while benchmark Sensex traded 0.54 per cent lower at 40,303.54.
