Bihar election 2020 LIVE updates: Bihar recorded a 53.54 per cent polling in the first phase of assembly polls on Wednesday, according to a release by the Chief Electoral Officer Bihar.

The main contest is between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led ruling coalition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the 'mahagathbandhan' in this phase of bihar polls. Prime Minister appealed to people to follow all coronavirus norms while going to cast their votes.

As the polling began, leader urged people to cast their votes in favour of the Mahagathbandhan for "justice, employment and farmers-workers".

leader and Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial candidate urged people to vote for a better future, education, health, jobs and development for Bihar.

The for the 243 Assembly seats in Bihar are being held in three phases, and the counting of votes will be done on November 10.
