Chandigarh: Two held with Rs 12-lakh heroin, 608g charas

CHANDIGARH: The UT police have arrested two drug peddlers, who were trying to smuggle heroin and charas from different parts of the city on Monday. The police said the market value of the seized heroin is around Rs 12 lakh.
Krishan Kumar, DSP, central division, said the accused have been identified as Vineet Thakur, 32, a resident of Nayagaon and Jaswinder singh alias Jassa, 24, a resident of Ropar, Punjab.
The first accused was nabbed from the dividing road of sectors 2/11 and PEC light point with 608 gram and the second accused was nabbed from the dividing road of sectors 8 and 9 with 112. 58 gram.
