Abu Dhabi, Oct 28 (UNI) Devdutt Padikkal half century 74 off 45 and Josh Philippe 33 off 24 helped RCB post a fighting 164/6 in 20 overs against MI in the 48th match of the IPL at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here on Wednesday.

Padikkal 74 off 45 balls (12 fours,1 six) and Philippe 33 off 24 (4 fours, 1 six) took RCB to fighting 164.

Padikkal came with his fastest of the 4 fifties this season of IPL smashing 53 off 30 balls in 10.6 over hitting Krunal Pandya for four. First three were reached in 36, 37 and 34 balls respectively.

Padikkal was top scorer 74 followed by Philippe 33, AB 15, Gurkeerat Singh 14 and Washington Sundar 10 remained not out.

Openers Devdutt Padikkal and Josh Philippe gave a perfect start putting 71 runs stand for first wicket going after MI bowlers for boundaries.

Padikkal and Philippe partnerships was broken when keeper Quniton de Kock stumped Philippe at 33 off 4 balls (4 fours, 1 six) in Rahul Chahar's spell in 8th over.

Kohli was Bumrah's first IPL wicket and claimed his 100th wicket in form of Kohli in 11.2 over.

Washington Sundar 10 off 6 (1 four) and Gurkeerat Singh 14 off 11 (2 fours) not out took RCB innings to 164 scoring 13 runs with 2 fours by Gurkeerat in Boult's 20th over.
