BSE Consumer Durables index outperforms; Titan, Voltas stocks lead

The BSE Consumer Durable index is trading higher at 24,643.62, up 195.46 points or 0.80%.

The BSE Consumer Durables index was outperformed in the afternoon session as buying witnessed in Titan, Voltas and Blue Star. Voltas contributes the major gain in the Consumer Durables index, followed by Voltas, Blue Star, Rajesh Exports and TTK Prestige.

The BSE Consumer Durable index is trading higher at 24,643.62, up 195.46 points or 0.80%. Blue Star and SFL gained 2%, TTK Prestige, Voltas, Titan and Symphony also up in the Consumer Durable index.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex is trading at 40,400.36 up 254.86 points or 0.63% and the Nifty50 is currently trading at 11,853.50 up 85.75 points or 0.73%.

Indices were led by gains in index-heavyweights Kotak Bank, NTPC, Nestle, Asian Paint, Bajaj Auto, UltraCem Co, L&T and Tech Mahindra amid negative trend in other Asian markets.

As per media reports, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is likely to review Aatmanirbhar Bharat package with Finance Minister and top government officials.
