Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday targeted the state government and said that his target is the assembly elections to be held in 2022. He said that the present government of Uttar Pradesh is false and people are coming with Samajwadi Party to remove it.
Talking to reporters after several prominent leaders joined the Samajwadi Party headquarters on Tuesday, Akhilesh said that the elections that are going to be held in the coming years will not only be the election of Uttar Pradesh but the future of the country's politics will decide. He said that the target of the Samajwadi Party is 2022 and it is beginning with the by-election. Welcoming the leaders who joined the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh claimed that the SP's performance in the by-election will be very good.
Many prominent people, including former Union Minister Salim Sherwani, who was a five-time MP in the SP headquarters, and Tribhuvan Dutt, a former BSP MP from Ambedkar Nagar, joined the Samajwadi Party. Enthused Akhilesh Yadav gave a clear indication that he will enter the electoral arena in the coming time by compromising with smaller parties. He said that efforts will be made to get more people connected to the party. At the press conference of Akhilesh, Dr. Sanjay Chauhan, President of the Janvadi Party and Keshav Dev Maurya, President of Mahan Dal were present. Referring to these leaders, Akhilesh said that Sanjay Chauhan fought the Lok Sabha elections from our party and if the Bharatiya Janata Party had not committed dishonesty, these would have been MPs today.
After a long time, Akhilesh Yadav, who spoke to journalists, accused the government of under-investigation in Kovid-19. He said that the government and the people of the government are neither fighting the disease nor being able to provide any facilities to the people being treated in hospitals. Akhilesh said that a large number of people were killed, including cabinet ministers and MLAs. Officers and journalists working on the ground were also killed. Now the government is saying that we have to live with this disease. He questioned why the condition of hospitals is not getting better. Akhilesh Yadav said that if the government of Uttar Pradesh hides the figures, what would you expect from it. There are so many incidents in Uttar Pradesh in which the government did not fulfill its responsibility.
