Aurangabad/ Mumbai, Oct 27 (UNI) Aurangabad district Guardian Minister and state industry Minister Subhash Desai on Tuesday directed the District Collector and the Joint Director of Mahaviran to jointly take measures to ensure smooth power supply to industries and farmers in Aurangabad district.
A meeting was held at the Mantralaya in Mumbai on today under the chairmanship of Mr Desai on power issues in Aurangabad district.
Local people's representatives including Energy Minister Nitin Raut and Minister of State for Revenue Abdul Sattar were present on the occasion.
There is no regular power supply to agricultural pumps in Aurangabad district. There are complaints that Transformers is faulty in many places also Oil is not available for it.
MLA Ambadas Danve demanded to provide 220 KV lines at Padegaon for uninterrupted power supply to 33 KV substations in Aurangabad city.
The people's representatives demanded the creation of a Sillod division by dividing the Kannada division and streamlining the power supply of agricultural pumps.
The Guardian Minister as well as the Energy Minister responded positively. MSEDCL is ready to make the oil required for Transformers available locally.
Instructions were given to reduce the power pressure on several substations. Meanwhile, the Collector and the Joint Director of MSEDCL were instructed to submit a joint report on all these issues.
The problem of electricity in the district will be solved immediately, he assured to give relief to the farmers and entrepreneurs,Mr Desai assured.
