Panaji: The state reported 215 new positive cases of the deadly coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the tally of active COVID cases to 2,384. Also, 345 more patients recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours.
According to the Directorate of Health Services, of the total 42, 747 confirmed COVID cases that Goa has recorded so far, 39,778 patients have defeated the disease and as per the analysis, the current recovery rate in Goa stands at 93.05 per cent.
According to the DHS, current active positive cases in the jurisdiction of urban health centres are as follows: Margao – 228 cases, Vasco – 124 cases, Panaji -103 cases and Mapusa – 84 cases.
Whereas the active positive cases in the jurisdiction of community health centres stand as follows: Sankhali – 93 cases, Bicholim – 79 cases, Pernem – 72 cases, Valpoi – 54 cases, Curchorem – 35 cases and Canacona – 62 cases.
While, the active positive cases in the jurisdiction of primary health centres are as follows: Aldona – 33 cases, Betki – 35 cases, Candolim -107 cases, Cansarvanem – 21 cases, Colvale – 59 cases, Corlim – 82 cases, Chimbel – 114 cases, Siolim – 93 cases, Porvorim – 169 cases, Mayem – 25 cases, Balli – 34 cases, Cansaulim – 30 cases, Chinchinim – 29 cases, Cortalim – 90 cases, Curtorim – 98 cases, Loutolim – 52 cases, Marcaim – 41cases, Quepem – 48 cases, Sanguem – 32 cases, Shiroda – 37 cases, Dharbandora -28 cases, Ponda – 155 cases and Navelim – 37 cases.
3 more succumb to virus
Panaji: The state’s COVID-19 death count rose to 585 as three more patients succumbed to the virus during the last 24 hours.
One death each was reported at the GMC, Bambolim and ESI Hospital, Margao while one patient was brought dead to the Hospicio Hospital, Margao, and was tested positive for the virus post-mortem.
The three patients who succumbed to the virus include 64-year-old woman from Vasco, a 73-year-old man from Porvorim, and a 39-year-old man from Curchorem.
