PFIZER at All Time High; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.3%

PFIZER share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 5,240 (up 1.0%).

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 19,472 (up 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are PFIZER (up 1.0%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 0.1%).

FDC. and AJANTA PHARMA are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, PFIZER has moved up from Rs 3,270 to Rs 5,240, registering a gain of Rs 1,970 (up 60.2%).

The BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 12,861 to 19,472, registering a gain of 6,611 points (up 51.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 350.8%), GRANULES INDIA (up 227.8%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 184.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,291 (up 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 5.6%), NESTLE (up 2.2%) and NTPC (up 2.0%). Other gainers include TECH MAHINDRA (up 1.5%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and BHARTI AIRTEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,816 (down 0.2%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 5.7%), NESTLE (up 2.0%) and NTPC (up 1.8%). Other gainers include SHREE CEMENT (up 1.7%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 1.2%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 39,059 to 40,291, registering a gain of 1,232 points (up 2.9%).

PFIZER Financial Update...

PFIZER net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.3% to Rs 5.1 billion during the period as against Rs 5.4 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, PFIZER reported 19.2% increase in net profit to Rs 4.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.6 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 5.1% to Rs 21 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PFIZER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 46.0x.
