Karnataka: New divisional railway managers for Palakkad, Mysuru divisions

MANGALURU: Palakkad and Mysuru divisions under Southern railway and South Western railway respectively on Tuesday saw a change of guard.
Trilok Kothari and Rahul Agarwal assumed charge as divisional railway managers (DRM) of Palakkad division and Mysuru division replacing Pratap Singh Shami and Aparna Garg, who in turn have been transferred and posted to North Central Railway and Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), Yelahanka.
Trilok Kothari is an 1989 batch Indian Railway Service of Stores (IRSS) officer. Prior to this assignment, he was working as chief materials manager, headquarters, diesel locomotive works, Varanasi. He had worked as additional DRM, Nagpur division in Central Railway. He has also worked in the railway board as director looking after procurement policies. Besides these assignments he has worked in rail coach factory, Kapurthala as well.
Rahul Agarwal, a 1992 batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer has wide range of experience in all sectors of railway management, having worked as executive director, traffic transportation (steel), railway board, chief passenger traffic manager and chief commercial manager, freight marketing, North Central Railway. He is the recipient of railway minister’s award in 2013 for outstanding service. Garg is now principal financial officer, RWF.
