147 more test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh; death toll mounts 35

Itanagar, Oct 27 (UNI ) Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 tally rose to 14391 with detection of 147 fresh cases of infections, while two more death pushed the fatalities toll to 35.

As per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS), out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) reported the highest at 56, followed by West Siang 17, Lohit and East Siang nine each.

Eight cases were reported from Upper Siang, seven each from Namsai and Lower Dibang Valley (LDV), six each from Leparada and Upper Subansiri, five from Papum Pare, four each from West Kameng and Tirap, two each from Changlang and Longding, one each from Kra Daadi, Tawang, Lower Siang, Lower Subansiri and Siang, it said.

Barring 32, all the cases are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, two more fatalities were reported on Monday. A 35-year-old woman, hailing from Sagalee, Papum Pare district, died at DCH, Chimpu near here at 0630 hours, while a 55-year-old man from Gensi colony, Daporijo, Upper Subansiri district expired on the way to DCH, Chimpu at the same time.



The 35-year-old woman was suffering from rheumatic heart disease, mitral stenosis, with Covid-19 infection and died due to septic shock and multi-organ failure, while the 55-year-old Covid-19 patient died due to respiratory failure, it said.



On the other hand, 231 Covid-19 patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 12182.



Active cases stand at 2174.
