Covid death reach 150, total cases 17,604 in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 27 (UNI) Six persons died of Covid in Manipur today thus increasing the total death toll to 150.

The overall Covid tally rose to 17,604 with another 180 new cases (98M, 82F) the total figure was 17604.

The positive cases were from JNIMS (25), RIMS (14), Imphal West (19),

Imphal East (10), Imphal Hospital (1), Noney (1), Chandel (4),

Maipakpi Hospital (3), Tengnoupal (8), Mother’s Care (1), Raj Medicity

(8), RD Wing (2), Samaritan (2), Sky Hospital (1), Bishnupur (5),

Senapati (1), Churachandpur (8), Thoubal (7), Escent Diagnostics (4),

Swiss Clinic (3), Shija Hospital (17), Tamengtong (21) and Babina

Diagnostics (15).

The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West (59),

Imphal East (35), Thoubal (21), Tengnoupal (9), Kangpokpi (1),

Bishnupur (8), Ukhrul (1), Senapati (3), Churachandpur (12), Noney

(1), Tamenglong (23), Chandel (6) and Kamjong (1). All were locals

without any significant travel history. They were being shifted to the

Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures

like containment and contact tracing are in place.

In the last 24 hours, six persons aged 49 yrs (female, Kangpokpi), 63

yrs (male, Imphal West), 65 yrs (male, Churachandpur), 27 yrs (female.

Churachandpur) 67 yrs (male, Imphal West) and 76 yrs (female, Imphal

West) expired at JNIMS, Shija Hospital, Dedicated Covid Health Centre,

Churachandpur, Home Isolation, Churachandpur and two at RIMS

respectively. The cumulative number of deaths was 150.

The total number of discharged persons was 151. They are from CAPF

(9), Home Isolation (13), RIMS (2), JNIMS (11), LKK (44), UNACCO (11),

Lamding (1), RD Wing (4), Noney (4), Jiribam (1). Moreh (4), Bishnupur

(5), BAL Bhavan (8), Thoubal (14), Tamenglong (5). INV Chandel (1).

Senapati (8), Kangpokpi (1) and TK Ukhrul (5).

The cumulative number of positive cases was 17,604 (General Population

— 14,889 and Central Security Personnel — 2,715). The cumulative

number of recovered cases was 13,208 (General Population — 10,780 and

Central Security Personnel — 2.428). The number of active cases was

4,246 (General Population — 3,963 and Central Security Personnel -

283). The recovery rate was 75.02 % according to Dr. Khoirom

Sasheekumar Mangang , Spokesperson, Health Department, Manipur.
