Chennai: Tamil Nadu reported under 3000 cases for the third day in a row with 2708 new Covid-19 cases being reported on Monday.
This takes the total tally in the State to over 711,703 cases.
This comes as a relief as the State has been among the worst affected in the country.
Chennai too continued to remain under 1000 cases on Monday and the number of cases declined to 747 on Monday.
The number of deaths too went down to 32 on Monday taking the total death toll to 10,956.
As many as 4014 people recovered from the infection on Monday, and the total recoveries now stand at 671,489.
As many as 79,898 people were tested on Monday for the infection.
