    Zinc futures down on muted demand

    Synopsis

    Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices here.

    On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.27 per cent, at Rs 200.95 per kg in 2,889 lots.
    New Delhi: Zinc prices fell 0.27 per cent to Rs 200.95 per kg in futures trade on Monday as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.27 per cent, at Rs 200.95 per kg in 2,889 lots.
