For the first time in the history of 360 years, only 11 deities have participated in the world-famous Kullu Dussehra. However, the statue of Lord Raghunath has been brought from Ayodhya to Kullu in 1650. But the Kullu Dussehra festival is being organized since 1660. But meanwhile, during the rule of the British for nearly 300 years, hundreds of deities have been participating in the international Kullu Dussehra, the Maha Kumbh of the Gods.
But the Corona period has changed history by 360 years. Along with the district Kullu, Dussehra of 2020 will be remembered by the people of the state and the country for many centuries. In Dussehra, only seven Gods and Goddesses were called upon to perform the deity tradition. While 11 Gods and Goddesses participated in Dussehra. Even though the tradition of inviting Gods and Goddesses in Dussehra began after 1960, the era of giving more eyesight began.
But it was earlier called by Lord Raghunath. It is being told that since the Dussehra festival started in Dhalpur after 1660, 300 or more deities have been participating in the festival. Raghunath did not come to Dhalpur in 1972 and Rath Yatra could not take place due to firing in 1971. Despite this, 50 to 60 Gods and Goddesses from all over the district had participated in Dussehra. At the same time, in Dussehra this year, not a single goddess has participated in the Anni and Normand area along with Banjar.
Dot Ram Thakur, the former district president of the district deity Kardar Sangh, said that in the British era, Devparapara was not teased and hundreds of deities have been involved. He said that ever since Dussehra has been organized in Dhalpur since then only 11 deities have participated this time.
