COIMBATORE: RSS president Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Coimbatore on Monday to attend the executive committee meeting of the Kerala unit of the RSS that will be held at Chinmaya International Residential School in Karunya Nagar on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bhagwat visited Arya Vaidya Pharmacy at Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore city where he paid tributes to its chairman Krishnakumar who died of Covid-19 recently.
He will be in the city till October 29 morning.
Around 20 office-bearers of RSS’s Kerala unit will participate in the executive committee meeting.
Accident
A team of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, who were on their way to receive RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat at Coimbatore international airport, suffered minor injuries when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) they were travelling in overturned at Perur Pachapalayam. The accident happened when a cop who drove the vehicle applied a sudden brake to avoid an accident. An alternative vehicle was arranged for them.
