Tesla commences process of recalling more than 48K vehicles in China

Beijing, Oct 25 (UNI) Electric-car maker Tesla has commenced the process of recalling 48,442 vehicles in China.
The American company cited defective parts that could aggravate the risk of accidents for this decision.
As per a statement by the State Administration for Market Regulation the recall includes Model S and Model X vehicles manufactured between 2013 and 2018.
Tesla has promised to replace defective parts free of charge for it's clients.
“Car recalls are not unusual, but Tesla’s recall of the imported vehicles at this time might have an impact on its businesses in China,” said Gao Shen, a Shanghai-based independent analyst covering the manufacturing sector. “Some would-be car buyers would cast doubts on Tesla’s quality while others will cement their belief that its cars are safer and better supported by the recall efforts.”
