On this occasion, he hoped for the triumph of truth and wished for new hope. “सभी देशवासियों को विजयादशमी की ढेर सारी शुभकामनाएं। बुराई पर अच्छाई और असत्य पर सत्य की जीत का यह महापर्व हर किसी के जीवन में नई प्रेरणा लेकर आए।” he wrote. He also extended his greetings for Mahanavami and mentioned how the ninth form of Maa Durga is celebrated on this day.

Ludhiana celebrates Dussehra by burning a huge Ravana effigy.
M. Venkaiah Naidu took to Twitter requesting his fellow citizens "to celebrate Dussehra in a modest way by strictly adhering to COVID-19 protocols."
The Ravana Dahan will be streamed online for everyone so as to avoid crowding, shared the organisers.

Chef Karann Talwar of Kitchen Kraft Luxury Catering, New Delhi shares the recipe of Oreo jalebi. Take a look at it below
Ingredients
200 gm all-purpose flour
50gm urad dal pithi (available in any Indian grocery store)
250 ml of water
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
18 Oreo cookies
1 ltr additional vegetable oil or canola oil for frying
Steps
1) Freeze 18 Oreo cookies for about an hour.
2) Fill a heavy cooking pot with 2-3 inches of cooking oil and heat to 200°c.
3) Combine all-purpose flour, urad dal pithi, water and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in a large bowl and whisk until smooth. Keep it aside in a warm place for 24 hrs.
4) Dip a cookie in the mixture and cover it properly so you can’t see through the batter.
5) Carefully drop the coated cookie(s) in the hot oil and fry on each side just until golden brown.
6) Using a pair of tongs, take out the cookie from oil and dip in warm sugar syrup.
7) Serve it warm and enjoy!
