MI's stand-in skipper Kieron Pollard: We're going to bat. Just one change - Pattinson in for Coulter-Nile. Pitch is fairly good. Done pretty well batting first. Couple of venues dew has played a major factor. Here, not so much. Whatever you do you have to do it properly.

RR's Steve Smith: We've played some reasonable cricket without getting over the line. Last one was a bit disappointing. Hopefully we can get over the line. We've got three games, for us it's about winning them all. See how we go.

Ruturaj Gaikwad's unbeaten fifty takes Chennai Super Kings to victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai. MS Dhoni with a near run-a-ball 19 (from 21 balls) to take CSK to an 8 wicket win, their fourth of the campaign. That means RR are now bottom of the IPL standings. 

Pitch report

Danny Morrison and JP Duminy with the pitch report: "Good breze right now. That's the big difference between now and yesterday. I think this is the best surface we've seen at Sheikh Zayed Stadium so far."

JP Duminy: "They (spinners) did alright yesterday. There was talk about grass being left on the surface to try and encourage more zip for the seamers. But it is a tough thing for the curator because of the heat and the humidity here in the UAE. Seamers had a bit of success but it was the spinners who were better. Varun Chakaravarthy especially. He bowled in the 90kmph speed bracket to batsmen. For teams, these are important points to keep in mind."

Rajasthan Royals' Robin Uthappa: (On inconsistencies from Rajasthan) "We took a while to settle down and find the right combination. I think fact that we didn't have Ben (Stokes) from the beginning of the tournament was perhaps the reason why we didn't find the combination in place. And we've had couple of tough losses along the way which can make you lose momentum in a tournament like this. And when you lose momentum in a tournament like this, it is hard to get back."

(On chasing more often) "Not really (a strategy). We're just trying to see what's best on certain wickets. You have to take into consideration that we've been playing on wickets that have been used over-and-over again. If playing on a fresh wicket, our approach is slightly different. So we're trying to understand. There's bit of guesswork here. In the last week or so, dew has been a big factor. You're trying and figure those things out and made a few choices that may seem like we're favouring towards one side."

(Favoured position) "Batting at the top. We're trying to be as consistent as possible and might have the same lineup as well."

Mumbai Indians' Quinton de Kock: (On batting in T20s) "It's just a matter of finding rhythm, the momentum. Just capitalising when I can."

(On adapting to formats) "I wouldn't say I find it difficult now. I can adapt quicker than when I started. Not too bad at the moment."

"We (MI) set a high bar and we have a lot of individuals in our team who set a higher standard for themselves. Obviously we try and keep the standard as high as possible and get on with it."

(On Rohit) "I think he's doing really well, seen him getting into the swing of things. Don't ask me when he's ready because I have no clue. Just wish him a speedy recovery."
