Dussehra gives the message of the victory of good over evil. This is an example that no matter how strong the evil becomes, in the end, victory will be of good. In the Treta Yuga, Lord Ram killed Ravana who had ten heads, because Ravana had made the mistake of abducting Sita, Lord Ram's wife.
Today, in the Kali Yuga, there is no ten-headed Ravana, but one can get to see the disgusting, sorrowful and frustrated mentality in one's head only. Today innumerable Ravanas are around us and there is not even a majestic king like Ram to fight them.
The real Ravana of Kali Yuga
Although Ravana is hidden in every person somewhere, which sometimes comes out in the form of anger, sometimes vengeance, but the real Ravana of Kali Yuga is the one who has very narrow-minded thinking toward women.
Before Dussehra, we worship women power in the form of Navratri and the end of evil on Dussehra, but this tradition which has been going on for centuries, has not been able to burn the Ravana inside us.
Ravana of the Ramayana period was fascinated by the beauty of Sita, but he never let the thoughts of lust flourish on her. He never saw a woman as a means to fulfill sexual arousal, but today the situation is completely opposite.
Today sex has become synonymous with women. Even if a bra strap comes out from the dress of a girl walking on the road, then our sexual excitement increases.
There are constant reports of sexual harassment of girls and women from every corner of the country. At that time, the ones who do such a crime neither see Goddess Durga in women nor the condition of Ravana. We become blind in lust. Therefore, Ravana of Kaloi Yuga is more powerful and dangerous than Ravana of Treta Yuga.
True Dussehra in every sense
Until the burning of this Ravana, the euphoria of Dussehra has no meaning. Just setting the effigy on fire will not end evil, we have to become Ram to end the ideological Ravana. We have to inculcate the same respect in our minds towards women, which we feel while bowing our head at the feet of Goddess Durga.
The day you see a woman with respect and without lust, understand that you have burnt the Ravana inside you and that will be the true Dussehra in every sense. The victory of good over evil.
