The land of western Champaran, East Champaran, and Saran, bordering Nepal and neighboring states of Uttar Pradesh, is called the land of movement. Out of the 10 seats in Saran district, RJD got six, BJP two, Congress, and JDU got one seat each. In the second phase of elections in 2020, 19 of the 31 seats in these districts will be voted. Polling will be held on November 6 for six seats in East Champaran, three in West Champaran, and 10 seats in Saran district. At this stage, the reputation of Lalu Prasad's partner is at stake. In some seats, BJP has also cut the MLA ticket. Apparently, one or two have joined LJP and many are staggering.

Congress also competes between BJP-LJP in Govindganj

A total of 12 candidates, including sitting BJP MLA Rana Randhir and RJD candidate Madan Prasad, are contesting from Madhuban seat in East Champaran district. Rana Randhir has inherited politics. His father has been a minister in the Bihar government. A total of 17 candidates, including the current BJP MLA Shyam Babu Yadav from CPRA, Rajmangal Prasad from CPI are trying their luck. A total of 9 candidates are in the fray including Kalyanpur's sitting BJP MLA Sachindra Prasad Singh and RJD's Manoj Yadav. The RJD has fielded Santosh Kushwaha in place of its current MLA, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, from Saffronia, Asia's tallest Buddhist stupa. From here, Shalini Mishra of JDU is giving a tough competition. There are a total of 19 candidates in the electoral fray.

A total of 12 candidates are in the fray including LJP sitting MLA Raju Tiwari from Govindganj and Sunilmani Tiwari of BJP. Brajesh Pandey of Congress has done a triangular contest here. The election here is largely dependent on the stand of former MLA Meena Dwivedi. All the candidates are making efforts at their respective levels to get the support of Meena Dwivedi. It should be known that Meena Dwivedi does not contest elections herself.

Tarakeswar in LJP after breaking ties with BJP in Saran

A total of 10 candidates are in the fray, including sitting Congress MLA Madan Mohan Tiwari and Renu Devi of BJP from Bettiah seat in West Champaran district. Shamim Akhtar, a BJP candidate and close to former minister Renu Devi, is contesting from LJP here. The BJP has fielded Umakant Singh in place of its sitting MLA Prakash Rai from Chanpatia seat. There are a total of 13 candidates including Abhishek Ranjan from Congress. BJP MLA Narayan Prasad from Nautan assembly constituency is in the fray.

A total of 13 candidates, including Kamran Sheikh from the Congress, will make the fight interesting. Tarakeswar Singh is contesting from LJP from the Baniapur seat in Saran district.
