Coronavirus tally in state reaches 99,438 as 383 cases found on Saturday, only 86 cases found in Ranchi

Ranchi, Oct 24 (UNI) On Saturday the Coronavirus patients tally in the state reached to 99,438 as a total of 383 fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected across the 21 districts of Jharkhand.
During the day 2 deaths were reported from Ranchi district after which the overall death count has increased to 864 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 per cent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 5,966 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 92,598. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 864. On Saturday no case was found in Giridih, Palamu and Pakur districts.
On Saturday a maximum number of 86 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 50 in Dhanbad, 48 from Dumka, 40 from Bokaro and Garhwa 28 districts (top five districts).
A total of 470 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 133 from Ranchi, 61 from Koderma, 43 from East Singhbhum, 32 from Dhanbad and 30 from Lohardaga.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 93 per cent mark to currently stand at 93.13 per cent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 31,03,213 samples have been collected out of which 30,87,671 have been tested and 29,88,243 have turned out to be negative.
