Yogi wishes people of UP on Dussehra

Lucknow, Oct 24 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wished the people of the state on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi (Dussehra).

In his greeting message on Friday, Mr Adityanath said that the festival of Vijayadashami symbolizes the victory of righteousness over inequity, good over evil and truth over untruth. Lord Sri Rama killed Ravana on this day. This festival is celebrated all over India with traditional reverence and cheerfulness.

He said that 'maryada purushottam' Lord Sri Ram was dedicated to truth, dignity, justice, peace, philanthropy and public welfare. A symbol of moral, human and social values, his life inspires to walk on the path of Lord Sri Ram and lead an ideal life.

The festival of Vijayadashami gives us the message of achieving our goal with hope, enthusiasm and energy, he averred.

The Chief Minister has appealed to people to fully adhere to the protocol and social distancing of Covid-19 in the programs organized on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
