Post the morale-crushing 10-wicket defeat against MI, CSK skipper MS Dhoni admitted that they haven’t played to their potential in IPL 2020.
CSK suffered their first 10-wicket mauling in the IPL last night. Mathematical calculations gave some hope to their fans, but CSK are out of the race for the playoffs. Skipper MS Dhoni has comeunder the scanner for a lot of his decisions, and so far, he has only used his experience to rationalise the blame game in the post-match comments. Besides, he has failed to come to the team’s rescue with the bat.

DC skipper Shreyas Iyer termed their loss against KXIP as a “wake up call”. Their pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada, however, had other ideas. “I don’t think I would call it a wake-up call. Losses do happen, so it’s not about panicking and trying to reinvent the wheel. We need to assess where we went wrong, which we have done from the second we lost,” he said. Besides, he also talked about the pitches in the UAE and his partnership with Anrich Nortje.
With the win over CSK last night, MI have again jumped to the top. Today, DC will be aiming to do the same after beating KKR. We have seen DC, MI, RCB fight hard for the top spot and race is still on.
