Buddhadeb Bhattacharya a living statesman in Bengal: Guv

Kolkata, Oct 24 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar today paid a courtesy visit on former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya and described him as a living statesman in the state.

Mr Bhattacharya has been ill for quite some time.

Talking to media on his way out, Mr Dhankhar said, " I'm energized. He has some problem with his eyes. Wished him a speedy recovery. "

Mr Dhankhar also harped on the importance of taking utmost care against Covid-19 as cases were rising.

He urged the media to spread this information and urged all to follow what Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said a few days ago.
