Maha Govt behind farmers: Bhujbal

Nashik, Oct 24 (UNI) Heavy rains have hit farmers hard; Onion growers in particular are in big trouble. All types of onion seedlings have been damaged in the rain, but the state government is behind you [farmers] said the state Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and Guardian Minister Bhujbal has assured the farmers that the announced assistance will be given as soon as possible.
Mr Bhujbal on a tour of Nashik district, he inspected the onion crop damaged by untimely rains at Bokaddara in Niphad taluka on Saturday. At that time, the farmers presented their grievances to him.
At this time, Chhagan Bhujbal said that the concerned officers should immediately send a report to the government with a panchnama; No waste will be tolerated in this work of the farmer. The aid announced by the Chief Minister will reach the affected farmers, said mr Bhujbal.
The issue of onions in Nashik district is very important for the country. The decision will be taken after discussing what can be done at the state level, Bhujbl said.

Ex Maha minister, Vandhipati Vinayakdada Patil passes away

He has been undergoing treatment for the last few days due to health ailments. He was close to senior leader Sharad Pawar. His demise marked the loss of a well-known politician in the state.
