MUMBAI: The state will undertake a recruitment drive to fill up over 8,500 vacant posts in Maharashtra Electricity Transmission Company (Mahatransco).
Energy minister Nitin Raut directed the department to fill these posts soon. A meeting was held to discuss the manpower position of Mahatransco, and it came to light that many posts of technicians and engineers were vacant since the unbundling of Maharashtra State Electricity Board into four companies, including Mahatransco.
