Prayagraj, Oct 24 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has refused to allow candidates to rectify the error who have incorrectly filled the application for 69,000 assistant teacher recruitment.
The court has said that as a large number of people are taking part in public examinations, allowing some to rectify the error will affect the entire selection process.
The court did not consider the judgment given by the Supreme Court in the Archana Chauhan case as a general order, saying that the order of the Apex Court has been given on the basis of specific facts in the case of the petitioner. This order cannot be applied to everyone, considering it as an example, the High Court underlined.
The refusal from the High Court came during the hearing of a petition filed by one Dharmendra Kumar.
Justice Yashwant Verma gave this order on the petition of Dharmendra Kumar. The petitioner had requested an order from the High Court to correct his BA third year result and BTC roll number.
Citing the decisions of the High Court in the earlier Rajendra Patel vs State of UP, Pooja Yadav vs State of UP, Aarti Verma vs State of UP case, the court said that these orders clarify that allowing error correction at this level of selection will affect the entire selection process and it will not be possible to complete it within the stipulated time frame and dismissed the petition.
The Allahabad High Court in June this year stayed the appointment of the teachers observing that there had been a "material error" in the evaluation.
