COVID: J&K reports fresh 586 +ve cases, 12 deaths

Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday informed that 586 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (206 from Jammu division and 380 from Kashmir division) have been reported, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 90752.
Also, 12 deaths have been reported; 04 from Jammu division and 08 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 684 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, including 348 from Jammu Division and 336 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 90752 positive cases 7842 are Active cases, 81486 have recovered and 1424 have died; 472 in Jammu division and 952 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 2125790 test results available 2035038 samples have been tested as negative till October 23.
Till date, 639551 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 19395 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 7842 in isolation and 50024 in home surveillance. Besides, 560866 persons have completed their surveillance period.
