165 more test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal; death toll mounts to 32

Itanagar, Oct 23 (UNI) As many as 165 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in

Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to 14077, while the fatalities toll rose

to 32 following death of a 59-year-old .

Of the new positive cases , 43 were reported from Lohit, 32 from Itanagar Capital

Complex (ICC),23 from East Siang, 13 from Namsai and 10 from West Siang, as per

the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS) .

Eight cases were also reported from West Kameng,six from Upper Siang, five each

from Tirap and Changlang, four each from Pakke Kessang and Longding, two each

from Upper Subansiri, Tawang ,Lower Dibang Valley (LDV),Siang and Papum Pare,

one each from Lower Siang and Anjaw, it said.

All the cases are asymptomatic except 29.

According to the bulletin issued by issued by the DHS last night, a 59-year-old retired

APP personnel expired on Thursday at DHC-Pasighat. The patient was referred from

Namsai on October 18 as he was having acute respiratory distress syndrome,

hypertension with Covid-19 infection.

On the other hand, 208 patients were discharged , taking the total recoveries to 11407 .

Total active cases in the state stood at 2638.
