NEW DELHI: Bank stocks were trading on a mixed note at 12:27PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of RBL Bank (down 1.44 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.8 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.79 per cent), IDFC Bank (down 0.63 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.57 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Bank of Baroda (up 0.7 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.45 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 0.37 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.28 per cent) and ICICI Bank (up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.1 per cent down at 24459.4 around 12:27PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.65 points at 11939.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 141.01 points at 40699.5.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, YES Bank and Aditya Birla Fashion were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Aditya Birla Fashion (PP), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., Ruchi Soya Inds, Tata Elxsi and Ceat hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd., SS Infrastructure Development Consultants Ltd., WABCO India Ltd., Shrenik Ltd., Zenith Exports Ltd., Mask Investments Ltd., Consolidated Construction Consortium Ltd., Blue Coast Hotels Ltd., GB Global Ltd. and GI Engineering Solutions Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
