JMM has only made political use of Santhal Pargana: Arjun Munda

Dumka, Oct 22 (UNI) Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda on Thursday said that due to poor performance of Hemant Soren government the people of Jharkhand were in gloom.

Addressing a press conference the minister shared details over the various schemes which have been launched by the Central government for the benefit of the tribals, farmers and other weaker sections of the society. He said that the present state government in Jharkhand has no interest to work in coordination with the centre in the execution of development schemes.

Arjun Munda said that just to mislead the people the state government was shying away from its responsibilities. He said that after coming to power Hemant Soren has neglected the sub-capital of Dumka.

He said that JMM has always used Santhal Pargana for its political benefits but has neglected the region due to which law and order situation has become a problem.

He said that the incidents of gang rape and murder in Santhal Pargana has created a sense of insecurity among the people. Over the deduction of Rs 1417 crore from the account of the state government over pending due of DVC he said that instead of levelling baseless allegations against Centre the state government should see under what circumstances the agreement was executed.
