RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday took a jibe at the BJP, saying it doesn't have a face in Bihar. He made the comment soon after Union Finance minister and BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman released the party's manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar. "BJP doesn't have a face for Bihar polls. Finance Minister had to come to release vision document. Since she's here, Sitharaman Ji should first tell why she never gave a special package and special state status to Bihar," Tejashwi said. Earier today, Sitharaman and senior leaders Bhupender Yadav, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey, and Pramod Kumar released the party's manifesto in Patna. The party has promised 19 lakh jobs and free Covid vaccine to everyone in the state. Sitharaman said that Bihar is a state where all citizens are politically sensitive and well informed. She exuded confidence that the BJP-JD(U) alliance will retain power with a comfortable majority. "They know and understand the promises a party makes. If anyone raises questions on our manifesto, we can answer them with confidence as we fulfil what we promised,"she said. The saffron party is contesting elections in an alliance with the Janata Dal (United). Earlier on Wednesday, senior BJP leader and Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh while addressing an election meeting in Bhagalpur said that the BJP and JD(U) alliance is like the superhit 'opening pair' of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in cricket. Bihar will go to polls in three-phase between October 28 and November 7. The results will be declared on November 10.
