CHENNAI: Chennai Metro Rail will run train services till 11pm on October 23, 24 and 29 on both the corridors on account of continuous festival holidays. Trains will run without peak hour services.
For the convenience of passengers returning after festival holidays, train services will begin at 5.30am instead of 7am on October 27 and November 2.
At present, during weekdays trains are operated from 7am to 9pm with a seven-minute frequency during peak hours and 10-minute frequency during non-peak hours on the Washermenpet to Airport corridor and at 14 minute frequency during peak hours and 20 minute frequency on the Chennai Central -St Thomas Mount line as well as for the operation of direct service from Chennai Central to Airport via CMBT and Alandur.
During weekends, trains operate at 10minute frequency on the Washermenpet to Airport corridor and 20-minute frequency on other lines with no peak hour service.
